Julie & Julia

The movie and Julie & Julia in my opinion was a pretty good movie.  I would recommend it to people who love cooking because the movie is about cooking, but I wouldn't recommend it to just anyone.  To the people who i would recommend the movie to I would also tell them to try and find one of Julia's cook books and try a few things since a lot of the food looked really good. I did think that they could have left some scenes out of the movie, but for the most part i thought the movie was good.

Reflection

How are the concepts you are currently learning about in class/school reflected in the movie Julie & Julia?

I am learning how to blog in class and in this movie Julie wants to learn how to cook, so she learns how to blog so she can blogs about what she is going to cook and how the dish went.

Pick one of the following career lesson we can learn from Julia and respond.
-Accept that doing anything well requires hard work.

In the movie Julia didn't know how to cook but she loved to eat.  Not knowing how to cook really bothered her, and she wanted to learn.  She finally decided to sign up for cooking lessons.  After the first day she was to weakest in her class, so she went home and practiced how to cut onions.  the next day she turned into one of the strongest chefs in her class.  This goes to show if you want to be good at something it will take  hard work and you have to practice.  You wont become great at what you want to do by just doing nothing, you have to put time and dedication into it, just like Julia did.

What are your interests, hobbies and/or passion?

I have a deep passion for sports. If I'm not playing in one of my sports I'm watching a game on TV or watching ESPN or playing football/baseball with my neighbors.  All my life I've been at least a three-sport athlete. You can almost always find me on a soccer field or on a court. Sports are not just my passion, there my LIFE!

Do you think you need to have your life completely figured out by the time you are 30? Why or Why not?

I don't think you need to have your life completely planed out at any point in your life. Life is always throwing curve balls at you, and you just need to take each one at a time. I do think that you should have your life heading in some kind of a direction by then however.
